Mi, Jianchun 米建春

Prof. Jianchun (Jamie) Mi received his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Newcastle (Australia) in 1995. He has since worked as Post-Doctoral Fellow, Australian Research Fellow, Senior/Principal Fellow & Adjunct Professor at the University of Adelaide, Chutian Distinguished Professor at Wuhan Engineering University, and Special Professor at Peking University. He has been a principal investigator of several important research projects supported, respectively, by Australian and Chinese Research Foundations. Prof. Mi has published over 120 papers, including about 60 archival journal papers, in the fields of fluid mechanics and combustion science & technology. He has also invented several fluidic devices and burners for industry applications, with patents granted internationally. His interests are in research and development (R&D) of various innovative high-efficiency and low-emission nozzles and burners, flame stabilizers, fluid mixing control, and fundamental turbulence.

米建春 北大工学院特聘教授,博士生导师 节能与动力工程研究所主任; 也曾获得过湖北“楚天学者”称号。 1983和1986年在华中科技大学分别获工学学士和硕士学位(热能动力),1995年于澳洲Newcastle大学获理学博士学位(流体力学)。自1995年后在澳洲Adelaide大学分别做博士后, 澳国家研究员, 高级及主任研究员, 现担任兼职教授。从事的研究领域包括流体湍流基础、节能洁净燃烧技术以及工业燃烧污染控制。 发表学术论文120余篇,其中60余篇被SCI收录且被引用300余次;另获多项国际(欧美澳亚诸国已授权)和国内发明专利。 米建春教授曾经和正在(中、港、澳大利亚)负责多项政府基金和工业支持的重要研究项目;现有的包括受973、863、985、自然科学基金和香港ITSP基金资助的多个项目。另外,他是国际一流学术杂志包括《燃烧与火焰》、《流体力学杂志》、《物理评论E》等的特邀审稿人;中、澳政府基金评审专家;且多次担任国际学术会议的分会执行主席。 米建春教授主持研发过各种燃烧装置,如自激发抖动射流燃烧器(降NOx排放~50%,节能~8%)和正在研发新型高效低污染‘无火焰’(HTAC/MILD/FLOX)燃烧技术及其应用。已发展数种国际领先的新型气体火焰稳定器,它们都能在~15级飓风下保持火焰不灭。在湍流研究方面,他不仅通过实验揭示了诸如射流和尾流这些典型的自由剪切流中无序小结构与拟序大结构之间的依赖关系,也特别弄清了这些湍流的混合特性及其应用。
