Post-EXPO Shanghai – What's Hot, What's Not

Speaker Bios:
Alex Smayda, is a director of the Poly Growth Partners Investment Fund. Mr. Smayda has spent most of his career in greater China, initially in the automotive industry, followed by the role as regional manager of a large entertainment & beverage company, then as the country manager for Cutler Investment, a private equity firm. Later he founded Kamsum Development in Shanghai, and is now one of the managing directors for the Fund. He is a graduate of UC-Santa Cruz, and serves as an adjunct professor to the college. He has made his home in Shanghai for over a dozen years. Alex Smayda, Twenty years in Greater China, including 15 in the mainland, with extensive experience in government relations. Managed US pension fund's investments in China including two landmark cases that established new precedents for foreign entities investing in China.
