Partner Event: SDForum's Clean Tech Breatfast: "Energy Management: Load Shifting"
Load shifting – from peak to non-peak – provides benefits for both customers and utilities. Customers reduce their average electricity bill while utilities improve the efficiency of their generating assets. Two of the most successful clean tech companies, Comverge and Enernoc, achieve load shifting benefits primarily through usage reduction. Complementing this approach, are new technologies that help load shift, by storing non-peak energy for use during peak demand periods. What are these promising technologies and how much can they contribute to reducing peak usage from the grid?
Speakers: Robert Horstmeyer, GrowthPoint Technology Partners; Matt Jones, Nth Power; Janey Kaster, Schneider Electric; Tom Stepien, Primus Power; Moderator: Travis Gibbs, Nixon Peabody LLP
Location: Nixon Peabody, One Embarcadero Center, 18th Floor, San Francisco, CA 94111
