Geng, Shu 耿旭

Dr. Shu Geng is a professor in the Department of Plant Sciences of UCD, and Dean of the Graduate School of Environment and Urban Studies, Peking University, Shenzhen, China. Geng received his B.S. from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, and M.S. in Agronomy and Ph.D. in Biostatistics from Kansas Sate University. He has worked at the Upjohn Company , the University of California at Davis since 1976. He served as Associate Dean of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences between 1988 to 1991. Dr. Geng has organized and sponsored more than a dozen international conferences in the past 10 years. Over the years, he has served as a consultant to a number of governmental agencies, nonprofit organizations and companies including, World Bank, United Nations FAO, Engineering Science Consulting Firm; Foster Farms; Calgene; Plant Genetics; California Farmers Rice Cooperative; Upjohn; Eureka Laboratory; and Seminis companies in the US. Dr. Geng’s research areas include environmental impact models, sustainable agricultural systems and multivariate systems. He has collaborated with colleagues of many countries. He has published more than 126 papers in international scientific journals and has received a number of awards and honors including the election as a Fellow of the American Society of Agronomy and the American Association for the Advancement of Science: the highest academic recognition the academic association can bestow to its members. 耿旭博士 加利福尼亚大学(戴维斯校区)植物科学系教授; 北京大学深圳研究生院环境及城市学院院长 耿旭教授在国立台湾大学取得学士学位,在美国堪萨斯州立大学分别获得农学硕士学位和生物统计学博士学位。历任美国UPJOHN公司工作生物统计师,加利福尼亚大学 (戴维斯校区)植物科学系教授。1988-1991年,耿教授担任加利福尼亚大学(戴维斯校区)农业和环境科学学院副院长。耿旭教授组织和主持了10余次国际会议。多年来,耿旭教授作为顾问为许多国际机构、组织和大公司提供咨询服务,包括世界银行、联合国粮农组织、工程科学咨询公司、佛斯特农业公司、CALGENE公司、植物基因公司、加州稻农协会、UPJOHN公司、优利卡实验室、SEMINIS 种子公司等。 耿旭教授的研究领域包括:环境影响评估模型、持续性农业生产系统和农业信息。他和许多国家都有合作项目。耿旭教授在国际科学刊物上发表了126篇多论文以及6本研究教学专著,获得过许多奖励和荣誉,包括遴选为美国农学会“ 院士” 和美国科学促进学会“ 院士”,这是这两个在美国具有重要影响的学会给予其会员最高的学术认可。
